★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes you can. Go to their online site and file a formal complaint in writing. Make sure you either take a screen shot of your complaint or copy and paste it as they will not send you a copy. These people are often inconsistent and can boss people around rather than help them or tell them correct information. Be sure you put in writing what you need from them - be reaaonable and diplomatic then require a response back from them within a reasonable time-frame. They should respond. Often the bullying attitudes in NZ override human ethics and special needs of people. Power corrupts and this appears to be systemic and the opposite of what a civil servant is supposed to be... Poor managers often invigorate or allow this type of behaviour to go on and the people over them do it as well, even those at the national head office. All Govt agencies are registered corporations that appear to be branches of Govt but are privately-operated as 3rd party contractors for the Govt. It is disappointing to hear about this but not unusual for most "Govt departments" or 3rd Party Contractors for the Govt to be dysfunctional or inhumane to people because their primary aim is to collect client numbers and Govt subsidies or milestones to obtain funding. Most clients are just numbers. Most of their employees do what they are told so they can take home a paycheck to survive. You are lucky if you find someone nice to help you but often they do not stay in that line of work. We call this the Government when it is actually just another corporation privately owned and operated, making its own rules up as it pleases. Check their corporate registration status if you do not believe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I found the WINZ from Highland Park staff reception are absolutely disgusting! They ain't help enough services for deaf people to ask them what they need for their help. One time, I came in and ask them for their email address, so that I can contact them anytime when I need to inform them rather than talking to them on the phone call because I can't hear! They refuse and I have explained to them my lovely point and they did write their email address on business card. When I got home and email to them. They never reply! I found this is really difficult for deaf people. How could you improve this services for the future?

Officer Rosie U. - pure human : professional, helpful, emphatic - the highest standard of customer service and person. I came out with hope and tears of relief. Hope there is more Rosie's in this world ?
