★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although the waiter was lovely, 15 minutes after arriving for dinner the chef from the kitchen came out and shouted at us that we had to order. I explained we hadn’t been been asked for our order but we’re ready to order. After ordering and eating we ordered extra food as some people were still hungry. We were advised it would take too long, basically not possible. We had been there for 45 minutes.
The service is the worst I have seen in Auckland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve eaten at many Japanese Restaurants but none match the quality and consistently of Yaruki. Every meal is beautifully presented and perfectly prepared. The staff are always friendly and service is prompt . Don’t even bother trying elsewhere. Thank you Yaruki.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food at affordable prices. Well established and well liked by the locals. Walking distance to the beach. Serving size is ok. Good quality and French food. During busy time, you can expect some wait - after you have placed order. The restaurant toilet is modern and very clean which is unusual for eateries in the area. The place felt cramped when fully seated - limited tables available. Nonetheless, still recommending a visit when you are in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family and I have been eating at Yaruki for about 10 years and I can't believe I haven't written a review yet! That already says something. We normally celebrate our birthdays here and I'm pretty sure Yoshi has seen me and my other siblings grow up over the years. The cleanest food I've tasted. Authentic Japanese taste and presentation. Service is excellent. Good vibes. Lunch and dinner are both consistently great. Takeaways during COVID lockdowns were just as good as dining in. 11/10 - Thank you!

Was taken here by my parents as a kid and love to come back to experience the nostalgia and wonderful team, including Yoshi. Meals are affordable and service is SUPER fast. Highly recommended, but can be busy. Best to call ahead to avoid disappointment.
