★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place, perfect to lay low for a couple days. They offer you free bike usage and coffee. They also have a nice garden area and very good wifi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent my 20th birthday here! Such a nice cozy friendly hostel. Very clean, two kitchens, a lovely courtyard, and hello?! Free bikes?! Such a plus in the beautiful golden bay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice small Hostel with a cool vibe, one of the Best Hostel gardens that I have seen in NZ so far. Got a Double Room for the price of a 6 Bed Dorm! Got two fully equipped kitchen. Bathrooms are very clean and actually the showers are high enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night. We loved this quiet and cozy hostel.The staff were friendly and informative about the hostel facilities. We stayed in the cabin which was cozy for the two of us.The garden is a sweet place to hangout in. A walking distance into town and the grocery store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got eaten by bedbugs. They didn’t seem to care much or even sterilise the entire room. Instead saying ut may be sandflies. See below pics of the aftermath to see how they are bedbugs for sure. Not to mention I showed them a crushed one full of blood and droppings. Not to mention the smokers blowing smoke throughout the hostel and the leaky roof in the room they moved me into after bed bugs. Avoid avoid avoid !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's clean and conveniently located. No furniture in the room but the bunks are good quality. Al, the owner is friendly but he's very shouty and always likes to insert himself into your conversation. Some noisy guests too. Two kitchens, a living and dining area and garden chill out zone are good.
