★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is absolutely beautiful and completely spotless. The owners were super helpful giving us advice for activities around Takaka. We booked the room with the outdoor tub and it was so worth it! I really liked how the cabins felt very secluded and private! Would definitely recommend and will be staying here anytime I am in the area :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed in the new 3 bdrm 'Morepork' house. Absolutely perfect. Beautifully clean and tidy, quality furnishings. The kitchen had everything you needed, even for entertaining. Fabulous outdoor space that included Bluetooth speaker and disco lights. The owners have thought of everything! Handy to Takaka but at the same time away from the throngs of visitors at this time of the year. Kids loved it, we loved it. Win win!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used The Rocks as a base to explore Golden Bay by bicycle. Lovely accommodation in a quiet rural setting just a few minutes from Takaka. The chalet had a combined bedroom/living area (bathroom/shower/toilet off it) opening onto a beautifully landscaped private terrace (with outside bath!) lawn/garden area. The full kitchen allows self catering or it is just a short drive/walk to all the options Takaka offers. Had a superb stay, will return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to stay in Takaka. Close to everything. Comfortable, clean and decent on pricing. Service was great. Definitely would stay there again. They even have a small glow work cave. Plenty of games and dvds on offer at reception. Cool pizza oven and other things in the common area including washing machine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful accommodation just out of town with a luxury feel. Warm and inviting on arrival. Spacious and private rooms with cute little outdoor area to sit and admire the unique gardens. Very comfortable bed, excellent wifi, nicely appointed bathroom with plenty of space to spread out your toiletries etc. A must do is the little glow worm walk to the cave. A bit of road noise when the doors and windows were open but we didn’t notice this during the night.
