★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stopped in the middle of the night for a coffee because I had a long way to go.
It was horrible because the milk had been left out and tasted off. I couldn't drink it, waste of $5.50.
When hubby came through, I advised him to go to the wild bean, and he got a lovely coffee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good prices when we visited. Two grades of petrol, as well as diesel. Four lanes. Safe access with lots of visibility in both directions, and on a 50km/hr road. The shop is pretty new looking, recently refurbished, with a small floor plan and not a huge range of stock. Helpful staff. A good place to stop before heading into the wild spaces south of the town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Though the staff member thought we were about to do the runners and called after us just as I walked in the shop to pay. My husband moved our campervan from the pumps to the tap so we could fill our water tank.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great petroleum and service stop when driving from the north such as Auckland, Hamilton etc. when traveling to Taranaki, King Country, National Park and South. Some good fast foods such as pies, coffees, teas, etc. Plus thier petrol and diesel prices are some of the cheapest in New Zealand, especially compared to Auckland and New Plymouth, so if you are traveling there and back it saves money to fill here in both directions. The butter chicken pies are really yum. Great friendly young lady behind the counter as well, neat personality.
