About Zambrero Cuba St

It was at 100 restaurants that Sam appointed its first experienced CEO, Karim Messih. Karim was the General Manager and having worked with Sam to grow the brand from 34 restaurants when he started, it was a natural progression for Karim. A testament to the strength of the brand’s operating model, at the end of 2017 Karim pursued his ambition to become a Franchise Partner and now operates two Zambrero restaurants of his own with sights set on building out a multi - unit portfolio.

The current leadership team comprises Bianca Azzopardi who assumed the Australian CEO role from 2017-2019 and since 2020 has led the brands expansion into the United States with almost 10 years’ experience in the brand. In 2020, Matthew Kenny was appointed CEO of the Australian business and Emily Teh the CEO of our UK business leading our expansion into this market. Matthew & Emily were both appointed following their success in other roles within the Prince Group and are leading Zambrero.

Clean store in a great location, however there was hair in 2 out of 3 orders, no beans (in both a double and single bean order), and overall a low quality of production. Other zambreros are significantly better, this is a remark on this particular location.

Best Zambrero burrito I have had so far. I have eaten at every Zambrero in Wellington, this was my best experience so far. Burrito was well made with a generous amount of ingredients. The staff member was attentive and the store was clean.

Why are you guys allowed to take up the sheltered walk space in front of your shop?...it forces people to walk in the rain on a bad day.... i have never seen anyone use it??

Delicious fast food but the portion size for the vegan meal was ridiculously small for the price

Good service, very fresh. A bit expensive but everything is these days. Asked if music was too loud which was a classy move. Very good.

Thought this one would be better than Courtenay Place but it was somehow worse. The meat tastes like water and the beans looked like soup. Have a feeling they are watering down their food

Pretty stingy when it comes to toppings and they will charge you extra even though the food is already expensive and underweight.. Would also agree with the other comment saying they water down their food to stretch

Ridiculously stingy burrito bowl delivered via Uber eats. Was over $20 due the addition of a tiny spoonful of guacamole. The bowl was 3/4 shredded lettuce consisting of the outer dark leaves that most people take off and throw away. The last quarter of the bowl contents was a tiny amount of meat on top of a tiny amount of rice with a tiny amount of grated cheese. There was supposed to be three kinds of salsa but these were in the most minuscule amounts they did hardly anything to flavour the mountain of undressed, tough lettuce. I was starving when I finished. I know inflation is pretty bad right now but this was a joke. The worst Uber Eats experience I’ve ever had and it had nothing to do with the delivery.
