★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Along with usual doner kebabs and Iskenders, Zara's sell pizzas, desserts, coffee and tea, vegetarian options, and open faced burgers served with oven baked Turkish bread - these I can't wait to try.
Update: the open-faced burger was served on a standard burger bun, not Turkish bread as advertised. The patties are thin and don't look like anything special. Very disappointing ? still for $18, the meal (see photo) is still a good deal.
Unlike other Turkish kebab cafés in Wellington, Zara's large doner kebab is actually a large and worth the $13 price. Everything else on the menu is $20 or less.
Very busy night, but customer service was never rude. So far the only Turkish Kebab Takeaway in Wellington I want to return to.
