About 353 North Manakau Retreat
Hi my name is Leigh Wells and in 2015 my mother and I came up with the idea of creating a space for all crafters to come and gather with friends to craft and quilt. The first retreat house was situated at 38 Greenwood Boulevard, Otaki.
Then in 2020, due to the retreats becoming busy and requiring more space, it was decided to buy a dedicated modern retreat house with all its resources and comforts including a craft room for all crafters to enjoy and they could have their own bed with fresh linens, a fully functioning kitchen, separate dining and lounge room, beautiful outdoor decks and gardens around the house and a large dedicated craft room to work in. This retreat house is called – Rimu House and is now situated in Manakau, north of Otaki
Then towards the end of 2021 we added another smaller retreat house (right next door) and called it – Jill’s Cottage so that smaller groups could come and enjoy the weekend away with friends.
353 North Manakau Road, Otaki has become a relaxing and enjoyable weekend retreat away with friends.
