★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not great at all. Ordered the chicken noodle and sweet & sour pork. Noodles over cooked with heaps of vinegar. Sweet & sour pork was covered in batter, deep fried and clearly covered in bright red sauce after pork left the wok. Two dishes for the horrendous price of $13 each. Been there once, will never be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tonight our regular fish n chips shop was closed so we decided to try 88 Chinese, we had 2 fish, 3.00 chips, 6 chicken nuggets and lg chicken fried rice.
Everything was absolutely wonderful, I asked for my chips to be crispy and they were. Fish was very fresh, cooked in a light batter so not gluggy. The nuggets were real chicken, and the chicken fried rice was star of the meal. Sooo much chicken in a short grain fried rice. Flavor was delightful.
Plenty of rice for lunch tomorrow. We will definitely be going back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst chinese food I've ever eaten! I usually buy from Hilltop Orewa, which is AMAZING but thought I'd try local tonight. Steak noodles tasted like 2 minute noodles, covered in unflavored sauce and hardly much (tastless) meat. Took 50 minutes to get out order. Never again, I'll stick with Hilltop next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What can i say.... first it's good to have a Chinese rest in Tau, and the 2 combination rice looks good. However I must confess that the BBQ pork tastes too sweet and the roast duck is a bit hard. I hope there can be some improvements.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the best Chinese takeaway we have tasted in ages! I've been craving this for so long and tonight was the best! The meal sizes are huge portions and taste amazing ! Everyone in our household kept commenting how nice it was! Thank you we will be back !!
