★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely terrible service when we were there 2 weeks ago, won’t be going back. The owner was yelling at her daughter at the register for getting our meal priced wrong, then started yelling at us trying to explain the $1 price difference. We didn’t really care so we just paid the extra $1. Then she said it would be 15 minutes for a roast meal..this is not a roast meal shop! They don’t have the food ready to go like a normal roast meal shop. Lots of Chinese food options, can’t comment on those but don’t come here if you want a classic kiwi roast. My roast chicken meal consisted of greasy fried chicken, wet potatoes, and too-salty gravy. We ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for our meal, and others who ordered after us got their meal before us. They didn’t seem to care that we were still waiting. If you want a good roast meal, go down the street to Rib N Roast Silverdale. The line might be out the door but it’s much better food and the wait won’t be as long as it is here!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe just this was during the quiet Christmas holiday period. Roasts were good, bit heavy on the fillers though. Rice and potatoes. And got a poor serving of vegetables.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. The owner is friendly, the food is great, I would recommend their soups particularly. Food is a bit on the pricey side but worth it for the large portion sizes. From my experience, what you don't eat at first makes for great leftovers the next day, a quality not to be passed over for takeout food. Thanks Freda's!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a duck roast from here that was microwaved! Soggy potatoes and old tasting meat. Wouldn't recommend the roast here but can't speak for their other offerings. Friendly service makes it worth one star

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT GO HERE...Decided to try a meal from this place for a change but should of known it was going to be a terrible experience considering the teenage girl taking the order on the phone was horribly rude.We ordered the sweet and sour pork but wanted it on fried rice (which we do every other place and they usually charge $3 extra)and they decided to charge us and extra $13.50 for swapping the rice making it a $30 meal instead of a $16.00 one.if that wasn't bad enough they charged us an extra $6 for nothing.we managed to get $10 back but had to work for it.food was terrible.dont know how they have survived this long.

As you can tell by the owners response they are nothing but rude.not once did my wife threaten her with a bad review.she mentioned that she should stated that it would be an extra $13.50 to swap white rice to fried rice which is an outrageous price,the owner also admitted she didn't know why an extra $6 had been charged.This is not the first time someone has mentioned they sneak extra charges to people's orders.Food is gross too,should have been refunded the whole order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really disappointed. The staff spent the entire time yelling at each other in the kitchen. Meanwhile I had to wait 40 minutes for a meal.. I witnessed three people just walk in and walk out because there was no one to serve them behind the counter. Food was average at best. Won’t return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner ordered food from them via Menulog today. The driver left the food in front of our garage door in rain without letting us know by knocking a door, etc. We didn't notice the food was delivered for a while. Also there was a long hair in one of the food. Really disappointed
