★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The AA insurance and NZ Post is NOT here. The NZ Post Shop is at PaperPlus on the mall up the street. AA Centre is near Farmer's Dept store. (Aug 2021)
Edit Nov 2021: It seems that NZ Post's location has been updated in the map, so that's good!
Google search reports AA at 17 James St, on the other side of the block.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ asked if i can use my temporary license as a id for converting my license, got a answer yes you might be able to use it. after waiting in a line for 1.5 hours they double check and say sorry you cant use it . could have checked and told me at the same time .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The AA Centre in Whangarei are currently under pressure with regards to Driver Licencing due to the VTNZ not providing this service at present, staff illness and training. They are being met with (understandably) frustrated customers and doing their very utmost to explain the circumstances and accommodating where possible. They went what I class as above and beyond for my own situation of travelling a far distance and being turned away previously. All the staff are friendly, professional and kind. Well done Ursula for managing the current situation with caring and helpfulness. Please remember to be kind to these people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These poor women are under so much pressure, yet they are so professional and helpful. We went to book my daughter in for her learners licence, they were very short staffed and so busy but so lovely and encouraging to my daughter and other young teenagers booking and sitting their licenses. Thank you to Ursula and Jazmyn you were both so kind and helpful.
