★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really a big waste of time seems like if you are non Maori then you are tossed to the side I was lied to by RIcardo in my time of need! while in the other room there were as a pizza party going on! After 4 emails to follow up I was ignored again wrong ethic background is clearly why,then I seen Ricardo advocating on tv and he won’t follow up with me in a email
Totally disgraceful service they should be ashamed of themselves -5 stars

Graham went above and beyond when he helped me and my girls whilst constantly dealing with difficult Winz staff and always quickly sorted for me over the years I was recieving a benefit.
I cannot speak for other team members but highly recommend him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got told they were really good with helping, I went and done an application first thing Thursday morning at 1030am. I was sent home, told that I should get a phone call before 1700 that same day. No phone call. It is now 1449 the next day. I rang work and income to see what has happened and they informed me that my application from AAAP was just sent this afternoon. Not happy whatsoever. Me and my babies had to go without for almost 36 hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have been OK dealing with over the phone, BUT the big omission is with there actual in person advocacy which should give a person better in person meetings and inform you and in person support to those persons going into medical board appeals was very lacking, as one must not go into these under prepared.
We can also say at times we may have been a bit under-prepared ourselves but can be addressed by thoughtful advocacy.
The advice i received about the medical board appeals process from AAAP was sparse to say the least when i attended in before my medical board review in Onehunga.
The client preperation for AAAP clients should be more thoughtful , and better managed/planned when dealing with the medical boards. One can always do with a personal advocate when dealing with them.
