★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family has just spent 3 nights at Aalton Motel and we were very impressed. The facilities were clean and the owner was friendly and accommodating. We adjusted our booking close to our stay date and nothing was a problem. We recently relocated to the West Coast and will be 'over the hill' reasonably often. This will be our go-to motel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean and tidy, close to so many handy places - easy walk to Riccarton Mall and Christchurch city centre. You would be hard pressed to find a better location. The owners are lovely and so helpful, nothing was a bother. Their cats were a nice reminder of home for us as well, very cute :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean and tidy, the price was amazing, we had a awesome nights sleep and enjoyed our stay. Very handy having a few restaurants 2min walk down the street so after our 5hr drive dinner was just a walk away perfect. Will definitely be coming back thanks for the hassel free awesome stay Aalton Motel very much appreciated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best value for money, great hosts. We stayed for a single night. We had a 2 bedroom unit. The queen bed was firm and very comfortable. I love that the rooms are separated by other doors in a small corridor to the living and kitchen keeping the rooms peacefully sound proof. Best sleep of our trip for everyone involved. Although rooms and bathrooms are rather dated, the unit is spick and span. There has been gradual improvements on our unit as noted in the photos of the kitchenette with weill presented and good quality utensils. I noted that the coffee plunger is best I have used for a long time with the filter doing its job perfectly. The unit is spacious. There is heating on every room. There is a spa pool that does the job. Location is perfect, close to the city and the airport. Again if you you are looking for a good nights sleep for a family of 4 or 5 and great value for money, you cannot ask for a better motel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic value for money, with 5 star service. We had a large studio room with a fenced courtyard, it was a well maintained older style unit with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom supplied even a hair dyer. Very firm bed with summer bedding and extra mink blankets provided however i felt there were not enough pillows, we only had 1 thin pillow each. The plunger coffee supplied was great quality.
The staff were exceptionally accommodating with our dogs and parking for a trailer.
Will definitely recommend and be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location. The host was very welcoming, showed locations of local food outlets on the map provided, advised a spa pool was available, servicing policy and the office hours. Our room was extremely clean, the motel is an older style but doesn't let that affect its standards, which were very high. Bed was comfortable, units very spacious and quiet. Highly recommend for very reasonably priced accommodation in a great location. We would definitely stay there again. A+
