I went into this place. I thought I'm nobody I've got a much lower version of a Tag than say the beautiful Omega and Rolex watches just to name a few of this wonderful place. Very friendly and they adjusted my watch band for my Tag free of charge. How many people do that anymore? No drama...very competent staff and I saw them interact with other potential buyers. Class place but without the snootiness.

About Time Ltd Watchmakers & Jewellers are very professional and knowledgeable in this space, they have some fantastic timepieces and offer fair market prices. Extremely happy with my purchase and my decision to buy from About Time Ltd. I would highly recommend going along and viewing their range of watches. Thank you to the team at About Time.

The staff here were not friendly, nor helpful at all. Had to wait over a month I was told would take a day. They never contacted me when it was ready to collect, despite promising multiple times. When I went to collect my watch the person was rude and dismissive, providing no justification for why it took so long. The repair was great, but there is much better customer service elsewhere.

Professional and friendly. Top notch service. I brought my watches in for strap length adjustments. After 40 mins, done and handed back to me with no charge. I will come back to have a look at the vintage watches. Def the place for you to take your watches in for service or look for another treasure!

Went to the shop the other day as I needed help to remove one of the permanent link of my vintage Submariner bracelet. Staffs are very friendly and knowledgeable, special thanks to Marcus who sorted out my issue. I can now wear my beloved watch with its original bracelet again with pride! In addition, they stock a bunch of nice high end Swiss watches from Rolex, Omega, etc and can also assist in servicing watches too. Truly recommended shop and I am grateful that our small watch community here in Auckland have you guys around! Thanks!

These guys are not β€œwatch people”. They are, as a couple of other reviews have said, glorified pawnbrokers. Since I am leaving a bad review, it's incumbent upon me to explain: there is an air of arrogance about the staff. If you go alone, and are faced with two staff members, one staff member will speak to the other as if you don’t exist and misquote the price of your watch after having a cursory glance online, as if you don’t know and came down the last shower. To be clear, I am not bitter that they undervalued my watch. Watch reselling is a tough hustle, and I get that. What irked me was their insistence on not moving from their own valuation of a watch that is clearly not worth what they claim. The watch I am referring to was from 2015 and not rare by any means and can be had on Chrono24 for far FAR less, even when shipping and duties are taken into account. If you know your watches, speak to a certain establishment in Wellington. They will speak to you like you’re a real person who understands and has a connection to the watches they own. They won’t cut you off mid-sentence. I was perfectly willing to pull the trigger on a watch above my budget, and wanted to try it on, only to be told it would be β€œtoo big for me”. Ultimately this is what happens when you have very few options. They have no competition in Auckland. What they forget is the person who wears a $2k watch today is two years and a good investment away from a Rolex. But hey, maybe there are enough suckers out there to sustain their business without them having to change their ways.

I wanted to change a watch strap for another one that I had. The lady that helped me was superb. Incredibly helpful and she changed the straps over in 10 minutes and didn't charge me! I will be buying my watches from About Time in the future. A small gesture but very much appreciated. Thank you so much.

Bought a leather watch strap from here around 6 months ago. It fell apart at the seams, so took it back today. Lady said no warranty and charged me $100 for replacement leather strap. She also advised no warranty at all on replacement strap. Clear violations of Consumer Guarantees Act. Will never return there. The appalling service continues. The $100 'leather' strap fell apart at one end the day after purchase!! Looked like some cheap glue and no stitching where it fell apart. In other words sold another lemon for $100. This is a complete scam, photo attached.
