Nice and tidy very well maintained would definitely recommend the Acapulco Motor Inn. Very reasonably priced. Also has laundry facilities for those looking for a place to stay while working in the area. The manager and staff are awesome friendly and really down to earth while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. Check them out for yourself ☆☆☆☆☆

Second stay there in past year. Friendly staff and good value buffet breakfast at their on site dining area. Rooms are a bit "dated" but beds were comfortable. Would book again if back in Taupo.

My partner and I stay here whenever we come to Taupo - Lovely staff and cleaners, the breakfast is yummy and the cook is awesome, the rooms are roomy and supply you with everything you need, we always have a good time here and are always well taken care of. We look forward to coming back down and staying here for our next trip ? - Dev and Khaliyah

Nothing wrong with the location but overall were disappointed with our stay. We upgraded from studio to separate bedroom. Bed was like sleeping on boards, lounge chairs were the most uncomfortable chairs we have sat on, shower leaked in both corners and it did not look like the drawers in the kitchen has been cleaned. We had to cut shorth our stay due to a family bereavement and were flatly refused consideration to waive the cancellation fee, which we found extremely disappointing as being the holidays it was highly probable that the room would be occupied that evening,. A check later that evening verified that this did happen. The voucher give to us by our children included breakfast which we didn't find out until we returned home. Thought owners would have been aware that this was to be provided. Like Taupo but would it hard to recommend this motel.

Arriving Friday afternoon to a smile at reception through our departure on Saturday morning, a short but sweet stay. Breakfast in the dining room was faultless as was our room. Thank you very much for our lovely stay and will certainly be happy to recommend you motel.

We stayed in a two-bedroom room. One room had a queen size bed, the other has two king single beds with a sliding door which only has a view of the fence. Rooms are spacious enough to move around. The beds are very comfy and warm. They have electric blankets on them, to which the guests have the option of using. There is an air conditioner/heat pump in the main living area, which is open plan to the small kitchenette, pull-out couch, dining table & chairs. The smart TV was actually above and beyond from any other accommodation I've stayed in. It offered sky channels, chrome cast, DVD player, media player play store, you tube. It was great! Best thing ever! The kitchenette had an electric kettle, free tea/coffee/sugar & cookies, mini-bar fridge which had a small bottle of milk and some paddle pop ice blocks in freezer. Not sure whether the paddle pops was left behind by previous guests or part of the service but was certainly a bonus for the kids. It was also fitted out with 2 installed electric hot plates, 2x pots/lids, electric pan, toaster, toast rack, glass mixing bowls, measuring glass jug, serving platter, crockery, cups, glasses, wine glasses, basic cooking utensils, knives, forks, spoons, teaspoon, dish liquid, scrubbing brush and pot scourer. The bathroom ensuite is nicely renovated. It has a hair dryer, electric plug outlets on the wall for use above the vanity. Comes with complimentary soap, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, body lotion and make up remover pads. There is a shower and bath tub with spa jets. Very nice. The rooms are provided with beautiful large bath towels, face cloths, hand towels and a bath mat. These are changed every day which is fantastic! The only downside in (our) bathroom is the roof needs a clean. Not sure whether it was bugs or signs of mold? But it might pay to look up and give it a clean every now and then. All in all, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Love the location. Walking distance to the lakefront and town centre. We will definitely be staying here again and recommending others too!
