They were super quick at getting back to us, explained the work they were doing in great detail, and did an excellent job! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our house required underpinning on two sides to improve its structural integrity. The team at Access Foundations did a great job! They were reliable with good communication, professional and polite. As we are in the middle of winter there was a fair amount of mud around but the guys keep things as clean and tidy as possible, and even put up with our two crazy dogs! We would happily recommend Access Foundations - they made the whole process easy and have given us back our peace of mind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aidan, Ryan and their team were great to deal with. When quoting, they were clear on the work required, what they would do and how they would go about it. Once they started work they were great communicators so we always knew where things were at. They kept the site very tidy throughout and went the extra mile. It was also clear that they had the necessary experience and knowledge of foundations and what is needed. I highly recommend engaging them should you be looking for a contractor in this area. I will definitely use them again.

I would just like to thank Aidan and his team at Access Foundations for the outstanding work at my house. We had identified a need to re-pile the house and put some deeper foundations in after the very dry summer last year. Aidan was happy to come out inspect, crawl under the house etc and explain the process. The process was new to us and involved Design engineering, soil sampling an also Council and took a few months. Aidan helped us get in contact and engage with the right people. The digging , concrete pouring and re-piling went well and the team were respective of the house and garden...not always easy when the rain arrives. It was a genuine pleasure to work with Access Foundations, not just because they get the job done but they do care, and are easy to deal with. I highly recommend Access Foundations and Aidan. Note: Best to keep them topped up with coffee and biscuits. :)

We required underpins at one corner of our house to proceed with renovations. They managed to complete the job in the estimated time and left the property in a tidy state. Aidan kept me updated with their progress during the whole project.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I contracted the services of Aidan and the Access Foundations team to remedy subsidence issues under my house. I noticed some doors not closing properly after the summer drought. Aidan thoroughly inspected the area and suggested re-piling the problem sections. The quote came shortly after but it took a while to get the actual work underway because they are usually busy and at the mercy of weather conditions.
The good news is, once the work started Aidan kept me informed every step of the way. He is clearly very experienced in flooring issues - he took out the old piles and even explained what was wrong with them. They have the right equipment to minimise disruption - there was no need to cut any flooring out to do the re-piling. He kept the job site tidy and I always felt the house was in good hands. Finally, he spent quite a bit of time putting in packers and levelling the floors to our satisfaction.
I am thoroughly impressed with them and have no hesitation to recommend or use them again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We own a 1927 Bungalow in Mt Albert with a sketchy past, which unfortunately required a complete re-pile. Not a small job.
We got 4-5 quotes and Aidan did a great job on patiently communicating the challenges and walking us through our options (stop gap repairs, staggered phases of work, essential works only, etc). He also outlined the pro’s and con’s on each option and importantly the impacts on the complexity of the consent process.
Access were only one of two companies who were prepared to co-ordinate engineers, draftsman's and council consent process as part of an all-in-one service which was great for first home owners like ourselves. When he was quoting, he spent over 20 minutes crawling under the house before crawling out and explaining what he saw to us. He then came back back within 3 days with a detailed quote as promised.
We initially went with another company, but after 8 weeks of poor communication and frustration, we switched over to Access. Within 2 weeks he had submitted consent, where we then received a weekly email every Tuesday from Anna just updating us to any changes or just letting us know they were still waiting - peace of mind.
When consent was approved, by happy chance they started the very next day. Aidan, Ryan and the team were there every day bright and early, leaving the house and site clean at the end of it. The best part was that at the end of day (nearly every day), I got a text from Aidan about what had happened that day and how they were getting on.
Their quote was not the cheapest we saw, but when you’re re-piling your family home - you really don’t want to pay cheap, buy twice. More importantly, their quote and expected tertiary costs (architects, consent, etc) were all within +/- 5% of the estimate, despite a few hiccups along the way which meant we came in on budget.
The result is top notch, with the house within 3mm despite spliced bearers, 2 prior extensions 30 years apart, scattered volcanic rock, rotten floor joists and other mickey-mouse work from an old house.
Would happily recommend Access Foundations to anyone looking for someone to help with their foundations.
