★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Air new zealand has the best customer service. Particularly in the Nelson Airport they are kind to help and always manage your check-in on time. They have a big lounge and nice toilets, many coffee shop around and plenty of parking for your car. They are never delayed so the are 100% reliable . Thanks air new zealand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lounge at Nelson airport is such a big step up from the old one. Lots of space, nice places to eat while waiting and plenty of room to check in bags. Very helpful staff as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lets be honest, the airport itself is pretty awful. Yes it is being rebuilt, and thankfully so. Since my last experience at Nelson, I have joined Koru Club. The lounge is small, but despite this I was very impressed with the staff, very helpful. The seating is fairly dated (hence 4*) but comfortable, and given the new terminal is ready in a few weeks I would expect the new lounge to be upgraded as well. The food was really nice, and always plenty of it. The lounge did get crowded, but I went outside and there was not a seat to be had in the terminal (12:30pm on a Sunday), so all in all a very good experience. It really is the stand out in this old airport. I'm sure the new lounge will be a 5*

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Things are looking great. Coffee hasn't been too flash the last couple of times (I am incredibly fussy though so don't take my word for it!) I've flown out of Nelson but at least everything has been upgraded from the 70s era decor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and spacious - even with delays there seems to be plenty of seating. Only real downfall to the new building is the lack of any fresh air. Very stuffy inside. No ventilating windows. Makes long wait in terminal on the uncomfortable side. I preferred the old terminal that has outdoor seating and a playground. New is not always better.
