★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not sure why no ones mentioned this, but the pools are COLD. 32degrees is cold. My one year old was shivering and alot of other kids were too. When I asked the lifeguard he said, the showers are nice and warm....The only decent warm pool to swim in auckland is parakai and thats an hours drive.
TAUPO has 4! better and warmer pools, cmon someone in North auckland open something up or
PLEASE ALBANY POOLS, PUT THE TEMPERATURE UP!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesoem pool for great family fun. Free two hours parking by registering at the Pay machine INSIDE reception area. Clean and very friendly staff and life guards. Way more clean and tidy than Henderson Wave pool. Very warm water so no issues in winter time. Good size slides. Kids are can get Crowdy during busy hours. Spa and full size also available for adults. They also do kids birthday party room hire. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome public pool, with heaps of toys and water games. Plenty of changing room for singles and families. For accompanying adults, it’s only $1 fee and kids enter free of charge. There is sauna e hot spa for adults. The huge climbing wall is the main attraction, you go up to 3 meters high and dive 3 meters deep! Great place to hide from the strong sun during these hot days.

My children, the swimming pool staff told her it was not allowed, because they had their own swimming school here. And we all go early in the morning before the swimming school opens... Isn't this a public swimming pool for local residents? Is it just for people who can swim? People who can't swim have to learn to swim at their swimming school? Aren't public swimming pools for public use? It's ridiculous that we can't fully use a swimming pool that was built with taxpayers' money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They advertise as being open from 8am on weekends. Two visits in a row they have not been open at 8am. The first time they had a sign up to let patrons know they will be open at 9am due to short staffing, that's fine, can't be helped . Today there was no such sign. People were left outside wondering what time the facilities would be open. On the website it suggested we follow the Facebook page for changes to opening hours. There was no update there. Would suggest more timely communication around changes to opening hours would be gladly appreciated. Otherwise facilities are great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rates at work, kids learning to swim, Adults keep fit classes, babies getting used to the water. Groups of disabled people exercising and great intermingling in the hot pool. The only amenity missing is a dedicated Olympic size lap pool.
