★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is genuin a top rated restaurant in Franz Joseph. My family had dinner in Feb 2017, I came back after 4.5 years, well here my review:
Quality of the food: 5 ⭐️ i have beef cheek this time, did not wait long, good decent portion of main course, I couldn’t finish it. It was delicious.
Service: 5 ⭐️ the girl asked me whether I am interested in reading the story of Alice, I said yes, she lent me this book. She also check on me whether I need anything else
Ambiance: 5 ⭐️ very relaxed-ambiance with the decoration of the background of Alice May
Strongly recommend it if you are ever in Franz Joseph!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved our meals, staff are outstanding. Such a treasure to find! classic lovely food! My roast pork dinner was perfect, hubby had the ribs and dd the fish and chips. Accommodating our dairy allergies which is find for us. First class way to Top off a magic 1st day to the west coast

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful warm staff, sadly quiet due to covid19. We had the best evening, the food was just fantastic. Can see why they have great reviews.
Had heard that their beef cheeks were the best ,so had to try.
Felt like frys and coleslaw instead of veges & mash , they were happy to substitute ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly service and nice food - Vaccine Pass was checked at the door but only visually. I would have liked a wider beer selection on tap, even some of the Monteaths that were bottled would go well on tap (The red and the black ale etc)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great evening out. Can't speak highly enough about the staff trying their very best as they were shortstaffed due to Covid. Extensive menu, reasonable pricing and a great atmosphere. Hope to get back there again one day.

The food came in huge portions and was really good other than my chicken being a bit on the dry side. Loved having the variety of vegetables and the yummy mushroom sauce! Partner thoroughly enjoyed the spicy prawn pasta

The young fella gave such a great, prompt and welcoming service to us.
Thanks to the chef, team and owner Jennie for an unforgettable experience!
Such an authentic kiwi meal.
We will be back one day just for dinning again!
