β β β β β Friendly staff. Very little campground. Only 4 toilets/showers for everyone so prepare to wait a while. Kitchen is basically non existent. Only a sink, microwave, kettle and a tiny camping cooker available. Doesn't all work at the same time, might experience a electricity cut. Plenty of sandflies so get yourself some repellent! Cool tunnel walk just around the corner, kiwi/wildlife centre, town centre with gas station, tourist attractions, bars/restaurants just a min walk away.

β β β β β Small kitchen fits only 1 or 2 ppl at a time, shower and bathroom facilities max of 5 ppl, tiny fridge freezer would never accommodate more than 2 ppl.
Prices range from $35 for 1 person to $74 for max of 4 ppl ($42 for 2 ppl).
Staff are wonderful, polite and helpful.
It advertises as for campervans, so is suitable more for self-contained vehicles than freedom campers, but the facilities offered arn't much.

β β β β β I mean you get what you pay for and you pay kinda cheap for this place so don't expect the world. The showers were connected to the toilets so it was super moist and wet inside and pretty cramped too. They lacked basic supplies like a jug or a zip and an oven. The laundry services were semi expensive - about $8 /for a load. Location was great though and no complaints about the staff or the camping sites themselves.

β β β β β I have traveled from Picton to Milford, now back up the west coast and this has been the best to choose from so far! Centrally located, excellent customer service, clean, quiet and the showers are the best quality in the South. All I can hear is birds. This must be one of Franz Joseph best kept secrets!

β β β β β Got special $29 2 people powered site. Very good value. Small parking site our 6 metre bus just fitted. All gravel sites power and water on site. Dump station. Toilets and showers in prefab buildings. Good showers. Rubbish and recycling. Guest lounge Reception is at motel office, well signposted. Near restaurants tourist shops.
