The team went above and beyond and we got the most wonderful room that had the most thoughtful touches! So peaceful and the whole complex has everything you need! We definitely didnt want to leave! Tina was so friendly and welcoming, thank you for making this so special for us! We will definitely be back!

On-site restaurant had fast and friendly service food was delicious and very reasonably priced considering the quality of facilities! Shower is amazing which is great when you’re driving all day! 100% recommend

The camp sites were great with each site in a private hedge setting. The bathroom facilities were clean and modern. We had a meal at the restaurant there and enjoyed the ambience it presented. Thanks for a great stay. We'll be back.

During a previous visit we had to leave almost immediately to find an emergency dentist (not easy on the west coast!!). We were able to use the value of the night we missed for this trip months and months later. We previously stayed in the fancy tree hut rooms, but this time were in the motel rooms. They have absolutely everything you need for a holiday, ample space and facilities to cook simple meals, really comfortable beds, lots of space and ventilation, and brilliant communal facilities (laundry and spa pool). The on-site bar is a beautiful space, and has an insane gin collection. Overall fantastic stay, with rooms to suit all budgets - would not stay anywhere else in Franz Josef.

Super clean, great amenities, quiet, peaceful, and wonderful to lie in bed (very comfortable) and look out into the trees. You can also sit on the deck and hear the birds. They provided a Breakfast Hamper which was great. It is picnic style so allows the freedom of eating it right then or easy to pack up and take on the road

The staff were super accommodating for us arriving later, even gave us an upgrade on our room, which was wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean with a big box of teas and coffee available and fresh milk in the fridge. Cozy beds and strong water pressure in the shower!! We stayed in one of the motel rooms We decided to go eat in the restaurant on site and the two girls ( Michelle and Natalie) were very welcoming, efficient, and provided us with great service. Good was great as well? We can’t wait to get back to Franz and stay a few more nights here at Rainforest Retreat!
S	Sean Connor on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here last week for 2 nights in the Deluxe 2 bedroom spa room. Overall Amazing, Easy check in with super friendly reception team. The room was well set up, amazing views modern bathroom with nice modern touches. The daily breakfast hamper was amazong with complimentary drinks was fantastic. Private Spa on the deck had privacy provided by trees with mountain views. Highly recommend, we had the most relaxing time.

The resort amenities were fantastic with sensor lights hair straightener, blow dryer in bathrooms and lighting around the entire resort, to name a few. The spa was large and even with a full crowd managed to sneak in a couple of dips with just my partner and I. The restaurant was immaculate. We only had a couple of drinks and dessert but we left full and happy. If you're looking for a 5 star resort/camping experience I would strongly recommend staying here. We were so thrilled with our stay and will definetly be back!
