★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I go here maybe once a every 2 months and every month I go it costs more. It’s getting to the point where I might as well eat in a fancier restaurant? I also don’t know why but the sweet and sour pork is way WAY too sweet. It was enough to put me off it for a while. Almost like pure honey ? so suddenly it’s gone from the best Chinese in palmy to being the one I’d avoid the most. Obviously, if you don’t want to get sweet and sour then you’re probably alright.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely bright and clean looking shop. Friendly, professional and efficient staff. Swift service. Placed a phone order and was told it would be ready in 10mins and it was! Walked straight into shop, used the covid19 app. to check in joined a que behind 2 others and didn’t have to wait long. Food was hot, delicious and cooked beautifully! And generous size pieces of fish and portions of chips as well! Chips a little soggy but reminded me of classic kiwi fish n’ chips as a child, so definitely not a deal breaker! Noticed they also do a smorgasbord✅ and chinese as well! Reasonably priced. Highly recommend Annie’s Takeaways and can’t wait to try some chinese takeaway next time!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit after new owners took over was very disappointing. Thought I give them another chance & I wasn't disappointed. Hopefully they can maintain or even improve on the good standard of the previous owners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got my fish n chips with sausage and large spring roll included for only $9.50. Overall taste was pretty nice. Good thing is it's one of few takeaways with less oil in their fish n chips. Haven't tried other menus yet. Store was also very clean and had on road parking lot.
