★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Handy location. Room was very clean, comfortable and modern. Showerdome meant no steamed up bathroom. Great view of Mount Sefton from full depth windows / sliding door that took up the whole end wall of the room (see photo of view). Big radiator that gave great heat on the one occasion it was needed. Full cooking facilities apart from oven - very important in a place with only one place to eat out especially when it gives priority for a la carte dining to hotel guests.

Everything is there and Malcom was the best professional and kind receptionist in the whole South Island. Thank you Malcom, for sure we'll come back to this hotel, our favourite place in New Zealand. Amazing!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been traveling South Island for 2 weeks now and this was one of the best places we've stayed in! Huge units which were super clean, appliances were new and high-quality. Really nice host, too. But the absolute cherry on top was the view. Really unbeatable.

A two bedroom unit. The only thing missing maybe a jug to put boiled water into. We had to boil the water. That did not upset our stay. All rooms had radiator heaters. It did not take long to heat up unit. The queen bed comfortable. Could not go out exploring with 3 year old.
It was raining ?..An overnight visit. I'll definitely come back. Shower had shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of towels. Kitchen well equipped.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed two nights here over the Easter week and loved our stay. The service and welcome was very friendly, and the room was perfect. It has everything you need for a decent stay, and the view out the window I'm sure would have been spectacular had it not been thunderstorms the entire time. We are planning on returning and will stay here again.

The staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. Major walks are all close by so that you can take advantage of the natural beauty of the area.
