β β β β β Really great service - I am a visitor from out of town so not a "customer" of the Lower Hutt business; had complete battery failure in my Legacy which left my nav / audio system dead...although the work shop was really busy they fitted me in same day and sorted things out for a very reasonable cost to allow me to have music and nav on my long drive back up north. Thanks Joseph and Armstrong.

β β β β β Had a very poor experience at this dealership on the 19 Sep with their salesperson called Ben. My partner, a friend and I were browsing for a car all day and thought we had found the winner. I then went inside to talk prices with Ben and get additional information. Apart from the fact that he knew hardly anything about the car/ service history etc., he was very not transparent an outright lied to us on multiple occasions. Being in sales myself, I understand that you're playing the game but it's all about good customer service at the same time. He told us the Sales Manager making any decision was off-site and 'called him' (if he did), then we needed to go to another manager to "simply get info about warranty" but once I was in the room (as my partner and friend were checking out the motor etc. outside at that stage) I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable and put on the spot, after Ben ensured me that this wouldn't happen and that guy was 'simply the warranty specialist' and that we'd be able to speak about everything calmly after gathering all the info. That wasn't the case at all, and the way they spoke to us made us leave right there and then. Not because of the car or price (as both were acceptable to start with) but simply because of the way Ben deceived us and conveyed the information. If you go to this dealership, I'd highly recommend speaking to someone else. We were looking for cars for 4 weekends, spoke to more dealerships and salespeople than I can count and this experience was truly on the next level of horrific service.

β β β β β A close family member has had terrible experiences with Armstrong's. Service items (baffles, error codes) have been missing requiring a reservice. Unauthorised items (tyres) have been installed and billed despite explicitly mentioning them as excluded. Most recently, Shane (Service Manager) bullied the family member into an on-the-spot bank transfer with screenshot when the EFTPOS machine didn't work at their rural property. The lack of professionalism is remarkable; I'll be advising my friends and family to steer clear of Armstrong's for car and service purchases. Do yourself a favour and give your money to a business that cares about the customer - Armstrong's has made it abundantly clear they do not.
