Aro Bar opened mid 2019, the brewery tap for Te Aro Brewing Company.
At Aro Bar we want to make you feel at home, relax on the sofas by the roaring fire in winter and bask in the New Zealand sunshine in the beer garden in summer. Bring family, bring friends and sample the delicious menu we have to offer whilst enjoying a wide range of Te Aro beers brewed on site. β β β β β We came here as my friend had seen the mushroom fettuccine on the menu. I decided to have the same and we both added bacon and chicken. Wow probably the best Iβve had. They were not shy with any of the ingredients and the portion size meant we both had some the next day.
Our waitress was friendly and very helpful, when I couldnβt decide on the beer I wanted, she went away and came back with a shot glass of each to try.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back. Well done Aro bar

β β β β β Lovely place. Very spacious. Gr8 food. Was so nice to see Aaron. Gr8 cook and chef right there, not to forget his awesome customer service in the kitchen and front of house. Thank u for a gr8 birthday celebration for my aunty Cheryl. Blessed?

β β β β β Excellent service, food came out very quickly and was excellent quality. Dub x burger could have been improved by adding onion and pickles; Kids Fish and Chips were great value and tasty. Will be back!

β β β β β Kids burger was a disaster, plain patty , no onion ir seasoning at all , burnt and couldnβt even consume. Chicken wings were undercooked, fettuccine was dead cold, very runny. Loaded fries is like a flat hard cheese rock on top of chips , battered prawns was awesome. Recommend for a drunk that wants snacks.

β β β β β We were a table of nine who visited Saturday, we had booked and the place was at half capacity. We were not served at the table and the only time we had table service was when we stopped a staff member walking by. Maybe they don't provide table service but when we visit other bars in Brewtown they do - perhaps clarity could be provided to customers as I see other reviews mention this. We waited an hour for our food, which we then followed up and they had not even started it yet. We ordered at 7.10pm and our food arrived at 8.30ish, we where then told at 8.40pm that it was last drinks as they wanted to close early. The only saving grace was the staff member we pulled aside to order drinks a couple of times. She was amazing, very apologetic and provided us a round of drinks on the house for the dinner mishap. We were disgusted to find her crying at the end of the night as the manager had had words with her. From what we saw she was the only staff member dealing with the customers, therefore, the only one facing the complaints and frustration. It would have been a stressful night for her and then to top it off she's been told off by the manager (not sure why, could have been a necessary discipline). I would not recommend, based on my experience

There were a couple of other big tables too at around 6pm. The service was fantastic. We didn't have to wait long at all,and the whole table got their meals at the same time! And they were beautiful.
Our table 14 left very happy and satisfied. Ka rawe Aro bar staff! ?

Hamish was brilliant. He did a fantastic job all evening, and so did the rest of the girls who worked that night.
Everyone was really impressed with the service as well as the food.
Thank you for making my birthday a great night. I really appreciate it! This is a great spot to hire.
