★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The gentleman on duty was extremely helpful with regards to the different campgrounds in Arthur's Pass. He directed us to the most awesome spot on the west side of Klondike Corner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love Arthurs Pass for a drive, but kea viewing is not so great as I didn't see until my 3rd time. Great walks around everywhere. A great go to for NZ

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Arthur's Pass National Park Visitor Centre is on State Highway 73 near the east end of the village. Opening hours are 8am to 5pm and there is a large carpark and public toilets available.
A stop at the Visitor Centre is a good opportunity to pick up information on trail and road conditions, local weather conditions and any other information needed to support your visit to the Arthur's Pass area.
You will also find an expected range of souvenirs and gifts here. There is an historic Cobb & Co stage coach and other interesting displays that make for a good way to spend 15-20 minutes. Lastly, there is a film you can watch regarding the history of Arthur's Pass. I believe the fee was NZ$2 per person for them to run the film.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of short walks nearby, some food shops but best to bring some backup food just in case. The devils punchbowl walk was great (lots of stairs but we'll maintained)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited to get information about any possible dog walking tracks in the wider area. The new woman staff member was very friendly & helpful. The other woman staff member who appeared shortly before we left and we were told had been working there for some time, was abrupt and not the pleasantest of people. The premises was nice & we purchased Postcards. Highly recommend the newer staff member for service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is worth visiting. The rangers are knowledgeable about all the local hikes and can describe the details of each one. We told him what We were looking for and he recommended 3 hikes. He also told us a lot about the Me a and where to go to see some!
