★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got everything you need. Small but cosy, clean, warm. Arthur’s Pass is not a very busy tourist attraction hence it’s very chilled and relaxing in this hostel. Price is reasonable (NZD$30 for a dorm bed with YHA card). Would like to stay more nights and do a longer walk next time. Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an awesome stay. Highly recommend this hostel. I called on short notice and the owner was very accommodating with the last room, a double private. Very clean, cozy rooms and tidy restrooms. Obviously, the entirety of the tiny little town of Arthur’s Pass is walkable. It was fun waking up in the clouds and hearing the Kea in the morning. I highly recommend the Otira Valley track nearby for a short but beautiful hike.
Only suggestion for improvement would be to add some hooks/other places to hang things to dry within the room.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here in early November and it's great. Ina, the owner, is knowledgeable about the area and compassionate which is awesome. The hostel beds were comfortable, and most importantly the rooms were warm (with heaters). Kitchen is massive, plenty to cook anything you want...ashing factilities available. Wi-fi was surprisingly quick, even during the storm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a calm and relaxed place. Beds are really comfy compared to what I've had over the last week, and you don't feel like the bunk is going to collapse! I stayed in the 8 bed dorm and there was a decent amount of space to move around in. Kitchen was always clean, same with the showers and toilets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really good hostels with a great situation (less than 20-30 min for the main tracks), rooms are quite spacious and clean, the kitchen is huge. The only thing would to get the heater stronger and more often during the day as it’s -5 outside :)

Ps: Great place to stay for a knight or two.
Affordable with nice clean bathrooms and toilets and the kitchen is not bad either.

Central location,...right beside the Arthur's Pass tearooms and close to the start of most local walks and climbs . Love the spiral staircase. Will be back with friends very soon
