★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were warm and comfortable, but for that price, I expected much more. The shower ceiling showed signs of mold and I couldn't believe that the clearly decades old appliances still worked (that hair dryer!). From the florescent lighting, peeling linoleum, and vintage appliances, nearly everything at this property needs a much needed renovation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorry Ascot, I call BS on your last reply. We had to talk to two local hotels after the issues at your place to find a somewhere, and both have no issues with booking.com, nor can they understand how it can happen given their systems update in real time for their inventory they put out in the open market. At least one had received customers of yours over the xmas break with the same problem.
Our friends that also had the problem booked a month apart from us last year, and oddly we had the same problem. All suspect to me.
Anyway, up to you if you sort it, not my business to keep alive.

Something dodgy is happening with this hotel, they take bookings from third party sellers such as booking.com, then book over the top. The result.. you turn up at check in time to a cancelled booking and nowhere to stay. They don’t help and point all blame back at booking.com who are well aware of this vendor. Happened to numerous of us over the past weekend, and from discussing with other local hotel owners when trying to find something else it’s been occurring for a while. It’s either deliberate to avoid paying commission to agencies, or just plain old mismanagement.
Save yourself the stress, pay a nudge more and stay elsewhere. I can recommend ASURE Chelsea Gateway Motor Lodge, nice owner, zero problems and very accommodating given our circumstances.
If you choose to proceed with Ascot, ring them well in advance to ensure you actually have a booking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We wanted somewhere off the main highway. Quiet place. Units older and larger area. I could see that the unit hadn't been hoovered as there was stuff over the carpet area and the kitchen and bathroom floor had grit on them as I could feel it under my feet. There were several light bulbs that needed replacing, toilet roll holder was stuck and soap dispenser in shower needed replacing. No milk supplied. No folder for instructions for TV and Wifi, Places of interest and places to eat, which is usual in Motels. Reception rarely open. Good parking.

Please do not book with this motel. They are very unreliable and will cancel your booking without any reason. Even after booking in advance, they cancelled my accommodation by sending an email saying they are no longer able to welcome us on the dates which has now ruined all our plans. After receiving the email, I checked the website and they still have same rooms available for booking but with an increased price. Unreliable and unreasonable motel while I will always remember to avoid from now on. I will definitely warn all the people I know to stay away from this motel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean, tidy rooms. Nice little kitchenette. Good internet. It is basic, but has everything you need and is priced accordingly. Fantastic value for money. And as a bonus, the resident cat loves to play in the rain!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super dirty. (Found a black hair in the bed) Front host was rude and unprofessional. I gave two credit cards (one for the booking fee and the other for the cost of stay) and they charged me on both hoping I wouldn’t notice. When I tried to solve it, they were very accusing and not helpful. Sketchy people. I do not recommend this place at all. I understand they are trying to make a business but there are more honorable was to do so.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Blown light bulb in toilet, front door hard to close and lock, bathroom door didn't shut properly, cobwebs everywhere, smelt very musty, no soap, very dated, needs a good update. Not bad value for the money
