★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner and staff were very nice. The condition of the room was clean but VERY dated. Ie the lamp and artwork is probably from the skip bin out the back of an op shop. Defiantly NOT a motel to come to if you are having a romantic getaway or looking for a luxury break away from home. I only had three tv channels in total which was disappointing. And there were flies in my room. Not the motels fault but a can of fly spray under the sink would be a thoughtful touch. The location is good. Countdown and 24 hour petrol station across the road and a 2-3 min drive to takapuna shops and the motorway. I feel it is overpriced compared to other motels in the area and is really let down by lack of extras ie modern fresh decour, sky tv, air con etc. If you are looking for somewhere to rest your weary head and then leave and the other motels in the area are booked out or too expensive this is an acceptable option.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Omg this photo must have been taken a while ago because it looks nothing like this now and it's not much better on the inside. I suspect this is a handy location and that's about all it has going for it. The double bed was push against a very filthy wall so I slept on that and my husband slept in the single bed so there was no risk of me touch the wall while asleep. Sorry but we wouldn't return

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked for 2 nights stay to spend with my loving partner. Unfortunately our son was admitted to hospital in the very early hours of Friday morning for a serious life threatening condition. When I rang the lodge to explain that we cannot check in later in the day and asked to move the 2 nights to another weekend (not caring when or if it be months in advance) included telling them that we would have payed more $$ on the money we had already paid just to move it but i was told that this could not happen and other weekends might be booked so they have to leave them open.
We lost our money to a greedy lodge that has no humanity or understanding when children are admitted to hospital.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheap & cheerful, the main thing being that although a bit worn and dated we found it clean. Great location for Takapuna which is a bit of a transport hub for buses if you want to go further afield. However lots of places to shop & eat if you decide to stay local, all within walking distance and a countdown really close.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms were nice and tidy, well maintained. Staff were very helpful, too. Took a bit of work to get a clothes iron sorted, but we got there eventually. Location is great, just a few minutes from the important shops. Shower is hot, and has good pressure Overall, great value for the price

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really loved my 3 day stay in this motel. Location is great. Staff and owners were brilliant. So accomodating and super friendly. Room was large and clean. Beds very comfortable and the sky channels were appreciated. Cleaning staff were a pleasure. They did their job without getting in the way. Will definitely stay again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family of 4 stayed for 5 nights and were made very welcome. The 1 bedroom unit was newly renovated and had a lovely bathroom and a separate seating area for watching TV. Didn't have to sit on the beds. Very helpful staff and we were able to park off street behind our unit. Short walk to main shops and beach with playground. And close enough if needing to stay near North Shore hospital. Would definitely stay there again. Chocolates were a nice touch. Thanks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't judge a book by its cover. ? This motel might look old & tired on the outside, but inside is newly renovated with really comfy beds. Love the LED ambient lighting along the headboard, makes the room look more relaxing. Vehicle can be parked in front of your unit. Reasonably priced & location was perfect for the event our family had in the area. Will definitely stay here again.
