★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gave my parents a car that was overdue for both warrant of fitness and registration. If anything were to happened would the insurance have covered it since it was out?! Only wish they told me upon collection so I could have told them to not accept the car and get a new one with the legal road requirements.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Returned car this morning at 7.30am, Sunday and there was an elder man in his 60s asking my rented car was from Avis, I said yes and he responded I’ve parked my car at the right spot. He followed by saying I should just leave the key in the car. I asked for an ID but he said he is the drop off guy and up to me to believe.
I wouldn’t have believe this anyway on earth except for NZ but I dropped it off at the counter anyway.
Avis management please note.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their customer service over the phone was a bit lacking. I'd recommend a clearer / more informed speaker, in the future.
Alsooo, turns out they share a phone service with Budget Car Rentals, too.
Clean + tidy premises, however, so points to you guys for that!
