★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Baobab has quite a different look and feel this year, but it's still one of my go-to locations for starting my day. The quality of the food is still consistently high. My only real complaint is that some of the music is not child-friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cute place just disappointed it took over an hour for our food to come out. While we waited we asked one of the staff if she could get us some water for the table and she said "its by the menus out front"?? Then we proceeded to watch her bring water and cups to people around us? So that was a sad experience. When our food finally came out we were done and out in 10min. Wasn't worth the wait and sadly will not be returning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The coffee and carrot cake cookie was amazing, but the thing that really stood out was the staff. I'm not from welly and had a flight in the afternoon and my phone broke while I was there - the staff were so nice and helpful; let me borrow a phone to make calls, showed me where a repair shop was and even came to check up on me later once I'd sorted everything. Very good experience overall despite the broken phone stress :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to say a massive thank you to the team at Baobab Cafe for making my sister's birthday so special and thoughtful!
Unfortunately I couldn't be there to celebrate my sister's birthday in Wellington, so I scheduled an UberEats breakfast delivery at 11pm the night before her birthday. On the order notes, I asked if they could do something to make it extra special and the team went above and beyond, decorating her French Toast order, the delivery bag and even added a special chocolate cake for her - all ready and delivered by 9am the next morning!! :') :') It was the best start to my sister's birthday, she was thrilled and over the moon.
Thanks so much guys!! You are the best - much appreciated. <3

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favourite cafes in Wellington, been here more times than I can count! Lovely relaxed vibe, especially out the back on a beautiful day. Can recommend the coffee as well as the scones and muffins.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had never been to this cafe before, but it looked appealing from the outside so gave it a go. It was fairly early in the morning, but several people there. I managed to use a spare power point to do some work there while having breakfast. I had the chorizo and bacon omelette. It was very tasty, but way too much salad served on top of it. I would've been happy with just a small salad on the side. Coffee was great. Friendly staff, quirky decor and cool funky music. I also had the apple, cinnamon and walnut muffin, but very rich and crumbly with too many bits in it. Free wifi too which was handy.
