★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit average but not terrible considering the limited eateries in the area. This place with really need to step it up once the BHive eateries open up in 2018. Unlike the suggestion made by the name of Bar Italia, there's nothing Italian about it except for maybe the very large sticker reflecting a takeoff of Michelangelo's painting in the Sistine chapel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice simple cafe just opposite North Shore hospital. Easy to access from Smales Farm bus station. The big breakfast (as per the pictures below) was pretty worth it for 18 bucks but just to be aware that the kitchen stops cooking at 2pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inexpensive prices compared to other cafes, but good food, coffee and attentive service. We enjoyed the coffee art design on our coffees, a nice touch you don't often see. Recommended.
