As a member of the Ministry of Education Early Childhood Advisory Committee, we take pride in representing and positively influencing strategic decisions impacting the early childhood sector. We are one of over 15 organisations who meet four times a year with the Government, the Ministry and other government agencies. These meetings allow us to give feedback about our sector and share best practice. We also talk about the challenges and identify new opportunities to support the government so they can make the best decisions for families and children in their early years.
We’re also a member of the Early Education Federation – an organisation that represents one unified voice for the early childhood education sector and every child’s right to that education. As one of over 15 membership organisations, we work toward the shared vision of excellence in early education and being an advocate for all early childhood education issues.

Cheryl and her team let me know any concerns regarding my children's education, with doctor referrals, speech therapists, early interventions teachers and going that extra mile for the children at Barnados. Because of this my boys have the best chance in their first big years in primary. Thank you Barnados Otara! I highly recommend.
