★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit disappointed at being charged 155$ for a puncture repair. Went to my previous 2 mechanics, both who said they wouldn’t charge anything more than 90$ even for the labor they stated they needed to do. At this price, I would’ve rather replaced the tyre brand new.
I wasn’t told all this until I picked up the bike. I’m sad that I have to make this review and I’ve had previously good experiences with this place on the retail side.
Edit for the owner and their response.
Just to let you know, the puncture repair failed mid ride, as I knew it would, just like I also knew with my ten years riding experience that the tyre should’ve been replaced in the first instance.
This has now costed me more time and money and stress as an essential worker.
Really disappointed, will not be back.

truly does represent their service.
Since my first contact with Mal through their listing on trade me all through the process of organising finance, trade in on my old bike, insurance, hand over etc. Mal's customer service was second to none.
When I went to pick up the bike it even had a sign stand next to it with a nice note. Incredible service!
Mal went to a great length to explain every detail about the bike, purchase contract, service requirements etc.
This was by a long shot the best service I've received from a motorcycle shop and I've dealt with Cyclespot, Cycletreads, Réd Baron and purchased total of 5 bikes from new.
Just before I took off even the owner Damian came out to meet me and thank me for purchasing bike from them.
For this kind of service it is well worth of travelling 200+kilometers from Auckland and the ride is nice along old Tauranga Road.
Highly recommended bike shop, Mal is a top seller and you can see that he loves and breathes bikes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the BEST experience here. Damian was super helpful with the women’s gear I was looking at, even fixed up my visor for me while I tried on clothes (had a big stuck between the visor and the pin lock!). All round great service, would definitely recommend and go back!

Bayride went out of their way to help and even ordered some in at no obligation, for me to try. These ended up fitting perfectly. Thanks so much Bayride and see you again!
