★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An exposed, raw, west coast NZ beach. Where waves kiss a shoreline of black sands and boulders.Great for walking dogs and writing. Possibly not recommend for family swimming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful beach but rather difficult to access due to the wide stretch of large stones. Could do with an access point from top to sand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I gave it 3 stars because u can't get to the sand without climbing down rocks and not suitable for kids but the view is amazing

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An incredible spot for a family picnic, very beautiful scenery. 10/10 love this place, perfect for picnics, events, dates and much more. Maintained toilets for public use and car access. Beautiful at any time of the day or night. Sunsets and sunrises are a must see at this location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So long as you don't mind the challenge of walking over the rocks, it's a lovely place to visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great beach, best part of it is the accessibly through the famous Coastal walkway/cycleway. There seems huge interest and investment from the council into the walkway connectivity, however a bit attention is required to upgrade the public toilets. There is a space to put a kids playground, a few swings and monkey bars too...which would make this beach a perfect family spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ swag beach! theres a nice river to play with the dogs in thats easily accessible down a rock path. from there it can be a bit treacherous bc its basically just massive hills of rocks that love falling down dramatically as u try climb them. when tide is high theres only the rock hill on the beach which is still nice, but when its low tide and theres sand its really nice to walk on if u can successfully get over the massive rock pile. sometimes u cant swim in the water which is sad bc its really pretty but they have a sign up about the water quality at any given time so u know whats up. beautiful views up the coast. overall a banger
