β β β β β I write this review on behalf of my sister-in-law Sue Szabo, my partner Julie, who is Sue's sister, and myself.
Bell, Lamb and Trotter have afforded excellent care and service to our family on two occasions and their compassion, professionalism and willingness to 'go the extra mile' on both occasions speaks volumes for their ability to be there for families at this most stressful and precious of times. We dealt with Andrew and his excellent staff members Michelle and Alice and their respect, empathy and knowledge in helping organise everything associated with the funeral services made us feel as if we were in safe hands every step of the way. They provided us with the opportunity to celebrate and grieve the loss of our loved ones while significantly lightening the load when we were at our most vulnerable and the grief was so raw. We will forever be grateful to them for their care.

β β β β β Having to suddenly prepare for a funeral is a daunting task, but my family and I chose Bell Lamb & Trotter and could not be more pleased. They were extremely courteous and helpful to us with the planning of my late husbandβs funeral. My husband had always said he wanted a simple funeral casket and the one provided was exactly what he would have wanted and that, together with the beautiful arrangement of flowers on top making it absolutely perfect. The way Andrew Bell interacted with us was exemplary and also his liaising with my nephew over the live streaming of the service from the Church which was viewed around the world. The catering was wonderful following the service and a lot of compliments were made to us of the lovely food provided. My husband would have been tickled pink being driven off in the 1937 Packard Hearse which completed the service.
I would highly recommend Bell, Lamb & Trotter to any family.

β β β β β We chose Bell, Lamb & Trotter some years ago, when our Mum nearly died. With family and friends overseas, we wanted the One Room facility, where people could log on to the service and watch it live. From the time I dealt with Andrew Bell, we were convinced we had made the right choice. Andrew's friendly, calm and professional manner was just what we liked. I commenced doing photos with him, for a power point when the time came. He scanned them all, and I kept him updated as the years progressed. On 12 June this year, when our wee Mum did pass away, and BLT services kicked in, we were SO grateful for all they did, with me having to get to Christchurch from Nelson, and our brother from Hamilton. We knew everything was being taken care of that day, with Janet, Administrator Extraordinaire with helpful advice on the phone on that day, and since. All the staff we had personal dealings with were so lovely, caring, professional and helpful, at a time, when one's brain doesn't seem to be functioning 100%. They gave us great suggestions and on the day of the funeral, every last detail was taken care of, way more than we expected or had thought of. We gave our Mum a wonderful send-off, and wouldn't have changed one thing on that day. Everyone commented on the three fold order of service and beautiful Memorial book, filled with all the slideshow photos of Mum. Thank you SO much, everyone at Bell, Lamb & Trotter. We can't speak highly enough of you. Wendy Cornish, and family of Beryl Smith

β β β β β BLT were so professional, caring, thoughtful, accommodating and all in all just a great team. We dealt with Suzanne mostly and her attention to detail was second to none liaising with Amy and Andrew. The funeral went off very smoothly and all the worry was taken away from us, in other words, "it couldn't have been better". The ladies providing the afternoon tea for us were so friendly and nothing was a bother. Our dear brother Pat would have just loved riding in the amazing 1937 Packard hearse, I'm sure he knew, a fitting end for a brother who loved his classic cars.
Thank you BLT, will thoroughly recommend to others.

β β β β β The were compassionate and very empathetic. The hearse was legendary. A 1930's Packard. What a car to go off in. WOW. Plenty of room. And they had the tech to live streaming the event for those who couldn't make the trip. Overall the business was helpful and kind. They showed respect and courtesy towards the family and friends of the mourned member..Impressed.

β β β β β The Harding family is very grateful to Bell, Lamb, and Trotter, and particularly Andrew Bell, for their excellent and caring service. Every detail was done well - from the advice and support, to the layout and quality of the trifold service sheet; from the live streaming of the requiem mass to relatives around the world, to the Ford 1937 Packard that everyone mentions because it is just completely gorgeous!
I was blown away to receive a beautifully presented memorial book with the death notice and service sheet reprinted at the front, followed by the messages from people who were able to be at S Michaels for the service. Andrew was able to arrange everything necessary for an ecoburial, too, which was just perfect. Thank you, BLT.
