Bella Vita is a beautiful boutique salon full of colour. Our promise to you is “uncompromised service everytime”. All of the team at Bella Vita are passionate about hairdressing. We ensure we are up to date with the latest trends and styles by attending regular training. Bella Vita are stockists of Kerastase, Loreal, Angel en Provence, GHD, Tangle teasers and our own Bella Vita brand.
We are located at 704 High Street just 300 metres north of Lower Hutt Hospital in the thriving Boulcott village area. We have free parking for our guests at the back of our salon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely disappointed with the standard of customer service, I drove from otaki to lower hutt, I had literally moved mountains to get to this appointment and it was cancelled on me morning of, i understand sickness and accidents occur however no solution was offered , no alternative appointment or compensation. They would charge a 50 percent cancelation fee if the shoe was on the other foot, this seems very unfair. it took more than 4 days to get a hold of the owner Chris, who was very passive aggressive and full of excuses and to be quite frank lacked customer service and knowledge of how to keep a client happy she mentioned they were too full to fit me in urgently ( can you imagine if I had a wedding or event on this week). I've now booked in at a professional salon in town, that were more than happy and excited for my business and were able to squeeze me in in just 2 weeks time. Would most certainly not recommend this salon and will definitely be letting people know about this situation, would hate for anyone else to feel this way.
RESPONSE: Hi Chris, I am not discrediting you, I am merely leaving an honest review. Wow thats a serious accusation.. can I have more details regarding my "threatening manner" or are you trying to save face and publicly state that I threatened someone to make yourself appear better.I came in regardless as I was only a few minutes away from the salon when I had been told that my appointment was cancelled.. They are a much more professional organization with 30 staff so I am 100 percent confident that should any of them call sick on the day that the salon would look after me. Onwards and upwards, you have a lovely week also.

Prior to walking through the door, I knew I was in safe hands after having a pre-arrival consultation over the phone with the wonderful Rachael. If I could use one word to describe Bella Vita, it would be thorough. Once arriving, Rachael sat me down and we had a chat about my current products, inspiration, and my expectations for my hair. She completely exceeded them. The colour she gave me was exactly what I asked for, the cut was perfect, and she styled it fabulously. She even gave me some great tips to recreate the style she gave me. Never once did I feel like anything was being rushed, and I left with some free samples of the shampoo and conditioner and feeling like a million dollars.
A few days after I got the cut, I received a follow up thank you for visiting text message. The customer service experience was excellent, and I will be recommending Bella Vita to everyone I know. Thank you Rachael, and thank you Bella Vita! I can't wait to see everyone at my next appointment.
