★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great climb. Well signposted. Takes a medium level of fitness. Beware it can be very windy and cold at the top, so take something warm to put on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice hike up the trig. Gorgeous views of the city, Petone, Johnsonville and Porirua areas. Bring plenty of water and good shoes ready to cross the Korokoro stream :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Massive effort required to get all the way up, a reasonable level of fitness is definitely recommended. I took food and drink with me too to have as a reward when I got to the top. The tracks are very well maintained and the views both on the way and when you get to the top are well worth it. I great adventure, but make sure you allow plenty of time (took me 2 hours to get up from the Oakleigh St entrance). I definitely recommend doing this at least once in your lifetime.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very well maintained and non technical track (small stones and not many pot holes). If you want to take the 4wd track down to Stratton Street you'll need to veer left at the trig and follow the track. Soon you will see a piece of wood with arrows, keep right. Next you see a massive map signpost and facing the sign you'd turn 180 and head downward to the left on the brown track. At the bottom you'll see a creek but there's a small bridge to the right of it. Hopefully that helps someone cause as a first timer it was hard to navigate and lucky there was a local I could ask at the trig.
