★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ambience is neat but with no air-conditioning it got pretty hot and less than pleasant in the restaurant. The fish taco was very average - not much to them at all and the fish was like battered fish from a fish and chip shop. The toppings would have been better split out across two tortillas as well. The guacamole was also below expectations - it was the pureed kind rather than smashed. However we did enjoy the jalapeno poppers. They missed three of the mains from our order so half the table had to wait an extra 20min for those to arrive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a team dinner and when we arrived it looked like we were not expected even though we reserved a table. When we asked where we should sit it was like "Whatever...". No smiles or welcoming, which I would've expected from a Latin American restaurant as Latin American people are usually quite open and welcoming. We did not feel welcome here at all...
They were also not wearing any masks, just some weird small shields on their chins and the cook didn't even have that.
Service took really long and there was no question if everything is okay or if we needed anything else.
Food was average at best...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tequila! Big thanks to Besos Latinos for the hands-down best margaritas I've had in NZ, plus amazing ceviche, tuna tostadas, and chips + guacamole. The owners are super nice and the view is great. We sat outside for lunch and it was lovely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, high quality and good portion sizes. The restaurant was absolutely packed, and our first choice of main had already sold out. The chefs and wait staff were run off their feet - felt sorry for them. Needed more staff to accommodate that many customers. Luckily everyone seemed patient. One of our mains were missed and forgotten, when asked if we were ready to leave or order more food we had to remind them we were still waiting on food to come. This was quickly fixed and offered half price for this main in particular.
