We don’t put any junk in our food, and we’d love to see less junk under the Christmas tree this year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in on Friday 10th at about 445pm to order some food - restaurant was untidy and looked like a brawl had taken place and no one bothered to tidy it up. The team look flustered - the person who served me was utterly rude- in a mood and was not interested in serving me. He slammed all the fillings into the burrito - I asked for corn chips and he gave me a bag that’s as opened with oil stains on it. After I paid - he walked away - I asked for a bag as it was a takeaway - he sighed to which I responded - I hope it’s not too much trouble - he handed me the bag so that I could pack my unappetising burrito into it.
The burrito ended up in the bin when I got home - I was disappointed given other times I have eaten there I have never been this let down.
Such a shame - I’ll be back - but if I see this team on - I’ll pass.
Sort out your customer service - one bad apple can reflect horribly on your brand.
You are way better than that!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been There Last Week i Had a birthday reward valid in Mad mex app But when I showed to the guy who was serving he said it can only be used on the same day of your birthday but it clearly says in reward that it can be used within a month after my birthday I tried to educate him but it was a disappointment

Nov 2021: Customer service could be better.... Tried burrito this time and it was good. AA members, you can claim some fries and a small drink with every order you make - something I didn't see until my order was ready. ..
Feb 2022: Pricing went up at least twice since August 2021 lockdown but still hasn't been updated on the menu board. It is misleading to customers...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we arrived, we were the only customers with all tables empty. Four staffs were busy chatting among themselves. Staffs were inattentive and unhelpful. Later also saw one staff handling cash then handling food with same gloves on. Clearly unhygienic. Food tasted okay enough except quite saltier than other branches. Definitely the worst Mad Max we've been to.

But I honestly don’t see the difference between portion sizes? The $14.50 regular one is exactly the same as the small $11 dish, but the regular just comes in a bigger container?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just bought a regular naked burrito from here, and I must say that Max Mex’s service and portion sizes have really gone downhill.
No flavour whatsoever really.
More beans than anything else in the bowl.
I’m not sure as to why the workers have to be so stingy with all the main ingredients such as the meat, sour cream and cheeses. We pay $14.50 and for what? Beans ? I’d rather just buy a can of Mexican beans then.
It is always a reoccurring thing, so I will not be returning tbh.
Max Mex used to be great before, don’t know what exactly has happened.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Umfortunately I couldn't do zero stars as I wanted to... I was unaware that NZ was running out of beef, lettuce, cheese and beans considering the not even half filled tacos I paid almost $16 for. If you're going to give me half a taco then I suggest you only charge half the price. Bloody disappointed.
Oh and before you give me the big standard, we are sorry, please reach out to us line, I've already complained on your website weeks ago and had zero follow up.... I'm confident this is likely your way of showing you care but in reality goes nowhere.
