★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We’ve been on a hunt for the best tacos in NZ and this is possibly the best in Auckland, co owned by a Mexicano. Simply delightful to watch the fresh corn tortillas made on site with their machine and then served with generous portions of fillings ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These tacos are easily the closest replica of the Mexican street taco experience. These are superb. The taste is glorious, well served, perfect fresh soft tortilla (which is handmade btw). The vegan picadillo was delicious, perfectly seasoned. The cherry on top was the tres leches cake, it was moist, sweet enough and decadent, also it's covered in cajeta (or dulce de leche/caramel). The portion was decent, one slice was just enough for two.
Vegan option of the day and the vegan picadillo are the reason I could revive the authentic taco experience (without the meat!).
The service and personal attention to customers is also very good. The background music was on point. Nice atmosphere and decoration.
It's not just delicious, it's also nostalgic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the most authentic taco joint in Auckland. None of those with iceberg lettuce and grated cheese nonsense, this place is legit. Beef cheek, pork belly, and chorizo were great, but not so sure about marinated steak. The only thing that’s different from taco joint in Mexico is that they don’t have small pots of salsa. I would paid extra $3 for those instead of their cheese and avocado options. Still, this place is 5/5 for me.
