Ordered Garlic Butter Prawns and this is what I got. Please dont cheat on your fellow Wahanu, what i got for $15 is not worth at all. @ Aucklanders please stay away from this shop (in Auckland Fish Market) as you will loose you money for some badly served food with extremely low quantity and quality. Rather spending here goto Market Gallery at least you will be happy for the money you spent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited today with my family for lunch. Terrible customer service. We were greeted with a blank stare and no words! I asked a simple question about a menu item and was given a one word answer and an eye roll. I reluctantly ordered hoping things may improve, how wrong I was, the money was snatched out of my hand, no please thank you or kiss my a**! I was then rudely told to come back in 10 minutes. That was the final straw, I requested my money back and told him he was a rude pri$k. Never again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stay away at all costs!!! Got oysters and seafood chowder for lunch for my husband and I, and it’s made us sick! It has given us food poisoning! Also, Terrible service. Guy who served us was very rude! If you’re going to be rude, at least serve good quality food!!!!!! If you don’t know how to handle oysters, don’t even attempt to sell them! Amateurs!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without having paid attention to any of the other reviews, I just visited this converted fish market food court for the first time, and the oysters, fried squid, and mussels on display were too tempting to resist - so I didn't! Got a bowl of the salt and pepper squid w aoili for $15 which tasted even better than they looked; very plump and juicy and the seasoning was more unique than expected - at first it looked small but surprisingly plenty. They don't hand you a buzzer for when it's done like other shops, but wasn't terribly busy right now so wasn't an issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food great amenities. The Cod is beautiful & creamy, oysters fresh and have good presentation. Chips are plentiful and hot.
Your staff need to decided if they work there.
Too busy eating and drinking at the bar. To be bothered servicing customers. While eating there and sat back watched families come and go because there was no one at the counter. And their conversations are inappropriate while I was eating, learn to read a room please.
Need some serious customer services training. Their attitude is glum and arrogant.

Sorry Billypot I ask how you made your fritter and you did not say this was what I would get!!!!
However the whitebait fritter was much better thankfully but would only call it a whitebait omelette

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered the mussels with white wine sauce. The mussels tasted very plain, weren’t cleaned properly. The white wine sauce was so thick, like a paste, flavourless and overwhelming garlicky. The service wasn’t great either. Do not recommend this place.
