★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So this place has gone up a star for me based on my most recent visit the past weekend. My friends and I enjoyed our meal and we would have the same order again. The highlights for me was the beef cheek (melt in your mouth), fried chicken, Asian greens and cauliflower (although they could have been a bit more tender). I tried two of the ins and really liked the The Perfect Good George Gin & Tonic and would order it over the Day Off Feijoa gin which was a bit of a question mark. Perhaps I need to try the rest of the gins on offer on my next visit ;o)
Great location! Featured below is the duck fat potatoes, The George & Cheese burger and a glass of The Stump Jump cabernet sauvignon. Only issue was that my potatoes were water logged but other than this the burger was good. They have an interesting take on garlic bread!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If we could award 1/2 stars my rating would be 3.5 stars. The location is really nice and we sat outside. We were disappointed to be told that there was no mango for the coconut prawn salad, and no pomegranate for the cauliflower dish and the ingredients wouldn't be substituted. I ended up choosing the fish, which I enjoyed. There is a kids menu available but you have to ask for it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So happy to be able to sit and have a drink and a meal out of my own house. Auckland has been in lockdown for way too long. Good George is a great place to join up with some friends and enjoy good food and drink. I highly recommend the Fog City Hazy IPA. It's fruity, full bodied, and creamy. So yummy ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great spot to come relax. Enjoy the view food and company around you. Lager was really good. Thou a nice wheat beer would go down well on a Friday afternoon. Chips and chicken finger snacks were super tasty. Highly recommend these.
