The two rooms/barns are joined by a door so you hear everything that the other occupants are saying and doing. We stayed in the black barn which also had a door that was connected to the office, weird. We turned up to see two screaming preschoolers (love kids) just not sure these people are at the right time in their life stage to be running and promoting a peaceful get away. Over priced for what it is. Be aware peeps. There is no privacy.
B	Bernardine Templeton on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect location and beautifully dressed rooms. We holidayed with another couple and accommodation suited us down to the ground. Plenty to do at Matakana village and surrounding area. Sculpture walk is amazing (at Brick Bay Vineyard).

The elegant rooms make the perfect retreat to relax in, while the 1 minute stroll to Matakana village offers plenty to do, as well as the rest of great attractions the area has to offer within short driving distance. Loved the quality food provided that was a little bit 'extra' and loved our dealings with them both- we felt very welcome and they kept in touch making sure we were happy leading up to and throughout our stay. A beautiful place to stay. Definitely recommend!

Easy access from front of property and no weird staying in someone else's home b&bness. Hosts have really put thought into luxury touches, would definitely stay again.
R	Ruth Gibson on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our daughter had given us a 2 night break away to Matakana but she had to change the original booking date for us. When we arrived after 4pm the owner obviously hadn't made the change of date in her booking system so wasn't expecting us and our suite was not ready. We went into the village for a drink and more than an hour later we were able to return. The suite decor looked lovely and the bed was very comfortable. I was unable to find any hangers for a dress and the Matakana Botanicals products in the bathroom were difficult to dispense. Also the cups for hot drinks, whilst looking great, with no handles were too hot to hold. I realise that these are minor details but detract from what was a relaxing break away. The suite was lovely and sunny and in a very handy location to Matakana.
