We are a produce driven, winery restaurant in the singularly beautiful Hawke’s Bay, proudly one of the largest organic growing regions in New Zealand. Executive Chef Regnar Christensen and the Team behind him are passionate about finding the freshest seasonal ingredients and interpreting them.
We source our ingredients directly from small farmers and artisans to build strong relationships and learn the story of the produce, so we can share it with you. Our dishes are stripped back and elemental, to truly showcase the complexities and brilliance of our ingredients.
Our bar reflects the best wine and spirits from New Zealand and beyond, from small distilleries to the classics we love. Unlike many winery restaurants, we welcome walk ins, so we created our bar menu for those times when you feel like a lighter meal while you enjoy the view with a drink.

B) Don't send booking confirmation if you are closed.
C)Don't send a booking reminder the day before said booking date if you are closed.
D) definitely do not ask for a review the day after said booking if you were CLOSED.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning location. The presentation of the food was spot on. The raw fish dish was delicious. The cooked fish, a tad dry. Other than the abrupt stop to the celebratory festivities at night, we had a fantastic time overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible evening. We sat down at 7 for our booking, watching as another couple sat down after us. It was over 30 minutes until anyone even come to our table to take our order… mean while the other couple had food on the table well before our order was even taken. Then in the space of waiting 30 minutes to be served, we get informed the only fish main option has “just sold out” that was beyond infuriating, given we had known what we wanted for 30 minutes and would have gotten the meal we wanted had the service not been appalling. Furthermore, how has the only main fish option sold out on a quiet evening before 7:30? Having experience in hospitality that is rather unacceptable. Given the awful experience waiting to at least place our order, we thought the staff would look after us and we would receive our meals quickly, however the horrible experience continued, with it taking 35 minutes from ordering to get just 4 dishes. All up, 70 minutes to get a very mediocre meal, served by rude staff.
