β β β β β I had never been on a Ferry before, we sailed from Wellington to Picton on Friday 06.08. We travelled over with our two Dogs. The Strait was flat as a Pancake, which probably helped a lot. The staff/service was excellent! I'm not usually a 'fries' person but we ordered some anyways and they were delicious! The Wine wasn't too bad either, for Wine snobs, we were perfectly happy. ??

β β β β β Great ferry company. We always use Bluebridge due to cost being cheaper than the interislander. Last week we came Wellington to Picton on the straitsman 2am sailing which comes through the marlborough sounds at dawn and is absolutely breathtaking! Itβs totally worth the lack of sleep to see the sunrise as you quietly come in through the sounds. But man the aircon on the ship is on polar. I was sooooo cold after shivering in my chair for 3 hours. Next time Iβll bring a duvet. It was about 22 degrees outside on deck but about 12 degrees inside.

β β β β β I have been on this ferry two times in the past month. The fist one was delayed 2hours due to bad weather (ok) the trip back was delayed again due to βstaff shortagesβ they told us it was delayed 3 hours but ended up being delayed 5 + hours. Next time I will take the interislander.

β β β β β Ferry was delayed which was communicated via text and email which was helpful. The boat was outdated and lacked space to sit comfortably. Would be better if there were some ferry style seats.
Interislander is more comfortable, has more seating and more staff onboard. Unfortunately it was booked out.

β β β β β When they say to come an hour early to wait, they weren't kidding. It was a long process, but the ride over was smooth and enjoyable. They showed James Bond: No Time To Die on the ride and kept us entertained for a couple hours.

β β β β β Our experience this time was great!
Two of us wanted to walk on whilst two wanted to remain in the vehicle. The staff in the terminal building kindly gave us blue paddles & altered the ticket to say 2 walk on & 2 in the vehicle.
One bloke tried to board the bus with no footwear and was denied entry as it was deemed a health & safety risk to not wear anything on your feet.
We like to sit at the tables at the front of the boat and play cards & do the crossword.
Food can be purchased - don't go for the scrambled eggs as they taste like they are made from egg powder!
The 2pm ferry left at 1.50pm so I guess we didn't have to wait for any trucks.
The staff are helpful and friendly.
The toilets were clean and had plenty of loo paper.
This ferry is wheelchair friendly, though you will need a help to get from the cargo deck into where the lift is because there's a lip between the two areas.

β β β β β Had a great experience. Booked a room and had an infant listed on our booking.
We were assigned a huge room with a cot set up already and an ensuite. Really awesome! And made sailing a breeze.
The little one loved looking out the window as well. A big highlight of our trip.

β β β β β Please get proper sanitary bins in your toilets for period products. A little cardboard box that carried napkins is not adequate. Don't make your staff handle items with bodily fluids on them.
Also, restock your empty tampon dispensers from the 90s in the bathroom, half of your passengers are women.
Your staff are absolutely wonderful and I want to thank the female staff member sooo much who gave me HER PERSONAL period products. I didn't get her name unfortunately.
Not cool, Bluebridge.
Other than that, I always find your ferry trips wonderful, comfortable and fun.
