About Boardertown
Founded 2004, Boardertown started life as a small skate and snowboard shop in East Auckland's Howick. After 2 years operating in Howick, surviving multiple break-ins and a ram raid, Boardertown moved to Botany Town Centre in 2007.
Since then, Boardertown has grown into a successful multi-door retailer, winning multiple awards including Small Business of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year & Excellence in Customer Service Delivery at the Manukau Business Awards.
In 2013, Boardertown opened a second store in College Hill adjacent to the heart of skateboarding in Auckland, Victoria Park Skate park. The opening of Boardertown College Hill saw Boardertown expand it's online store, further establishing it's place in the New Zealand skate and snow communities.
The business expanded to Queenstown in 2015, opening a store at Five Mile in Frankton. Boardertown Queenstown is the in-store skateboard bowl, built in conjunction with Converse. The bowl is open to the public and provides the local skateboard community with a place to skate year round.
In November 2017, Boardertown opened in the Christchurch CBD and in October 2018, Boardertown Tauranga opened it's doors at the Tauranga Crossing.
We are proud to support skateboarding and snowboarding at a grass roots level, helping with the development of multiple skate parks around New Zealand, sponsoring skateboard and snowboard competitions and supporting our skateboard & snowboard teams.
Through a continued focus on community and customer service, Boardertown will continue to grow, contributing positively to those we come in contact with.

Huge shout out to Tom he was a massive help in sorting out my gear as well as just an all around GC. Could not fault him on anything, super knowledgeable and super genuine person ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Originally ordered some Shred Lights (Front and Rear sets) online however on receiving them, they were both missing the standard mounts. Emailed them with the issue and order details and they replied, same day, apologised and sent me some mounts. 2nd order arrived and only one set of mounts received so went straight back and advised them that it was still missing a set. This time, no response (two and half days at the time of writing this). As I'm in Wellington, decided to contact the Welly branch to see if they had stock of the mounts, and explained my predicament, and by this stage I was ready to bring them back for a refund and head to Cheapskates as I had never bought from Boardertown before, however spoke to Tom and he offered to chase them up for me. Well an hour later and I get a call back from Tom to say he had sussed it all out for me.....Tom if you see this, you have the customer service skills of an absolute champion...thanks again

Will definitely be back to buy more from them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to the store a couple of days ago. I didn't dressed that nice,just some old wrangler jeans and a white t-shirt. I was looking to buy a new jacket.
I was needing help to find a nice jacket for me, they just simply ignore me.
The staff just ignore me, it was like I didn't existed which isn't a nice approach from them.
Also no mask as well which make me uncomfortable.
Otherwise I am really happy that there is a store who sells urban/American clothing style in wellington. Pretty cool
Not cool on the staff just ignoring my existence.
