These two beautiful souls give me the chips for free and threw in a sausage for my dog ❤ you lady's just made my whole Christmas thank you so much

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely great place for fish and chips! It is obviously a great place, because the locals keep it busy! They only use fresh fish that is delivered daily (never frozen fish...), and it is delicious! Just don’t wait until near closing time to go, because if it’s a busy day, sometimes they will run out of fish. Prices and portions were good. It was busy when we arrived around 5 PM, so we had to wait about 25 minutes for our order, but it was worth it! Kop

Now that we have a Bobby's in Te Puke I have been twice since it opened and their fish n chips are just as good. No photos sorry, that was the last thing on my mind and there were no left overs either...lol

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fresh fish used, not frozen stuff. The staff are friendly. I usually ring and order and it is ready in 10 to 15 minutes for pickup. Very convenient for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food, but their staff don't wear their masks over their nose OR mouth. They wear them like an accessory holding their chin up. I've been in there three times, and the two women serving customers directly have had their masks on their chins each time. They're ticking a legal box, but endangering their customers. I am medically vulnerable to respiratory illness and I don't want to catch Covid just for the sake of a piece of fish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ordered fish and chips for lunch and collected shortly after 12pm. The fish was oily and tasted like it was old. (Perhaps the day before’s fish that was put back in the oil to heat up) the chips was dark brown and oily, same thing. I will definitely not waste my money here again. I can’t believe anyone would think it to be ok to serve that…??
