★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big BP store in both the forecourt and the shop itself. Reasonably well located not too far out of the way from the main road west out of Tauranga. Good parking and a nice view back towards town, the store has seating for the cafe and an ATM. Marks off because the phone charger in the seating area wasn't working and because there was a dead bug next to the window (a gross one).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is more to preparing a pie for consumption then heating it up and chucking it in the cabinet. Yesterday I asked my good lady to get me my usual go to pie, The Pepper Steak, while I filled up my car with over priced petrol. She returned looking worried, and for good reason. The filing of this pie was thermo nuclear hot, so hot it could have kept a small village in Iceland warm for a day. This was a serious health and safety issue made worse by the dried out unloved crust - perhaps it was a protective casing not unlike the Chernobyl protective shield. Look, you have to respect and love the pie; reheat at 180 for 15 minutes covered with foil, the internal temp should be about 150 - 160, then place in the cabinet which should be 160 -165 and most importantly have the correct amount of water inside to prevent dehydration. Rotate the pies and if unsold after four hours remove. Respect and love the pie.
