★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding location, well appointed interior and super comfortable beds. Easy to find, away from the city lights, big sky country - amazing! Looking forward to visiting again for a longer trip. Top rating venue, hosts and the view is mind blowing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10/10 This place is a true gem. Our family of four loved it and we will definitely be back.
On arrival the fire was lit and the house was absolutely perfect. The only thing we noticed was the queen bed was slightly too hard for me but my wife didn't mind.
There were no instructions for the stay but common sense here prevails.
The road to the property is a gravel road running alongside the lake which is in great condition.
I suggest taking your best cooking and wine for a lovely stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We and our family 17 in all (just one missing) spent last w/e at Braemar. The 8 grandchildren slept in the shearer’s quarters and we and their parents spread around two cottages and a cabin - ideal set up! Great looking up at Mt Cook and other mountains and down at Lake Pukaki. Lots of places to ride bikes and fish. Julia made us very welcome and we wanted for nothing. Everything was clean & tidy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing place to stay. the shearers lodge is the one we stay in every year and its amazing with the fire it keeps you warm. theres alot of space as-well. you can do MTB, skiing, sight seeing and hunting here. i suggest to go see Ian Hayman Funny farm tours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Magical place, it's heaven!.We were lucky enough to be part of a very romantic wedding.... weather put it on for us, around 27degrees. We swam in the very clear water of the lake . . .I'd go back in a heartbeat!!
